What to Do If You Suspect Your Account Has Been Compromised

2 min read

If you think someone may have gained unauthorised access to your AeroWave account, it’s important to act quickly. Whether it’s a password you’ve shared by mistake, unexpected changes to your services, or a suspicious login alert – this guide will walk you through exactly what to do.

Signs Your Account Might Be Compromised #

You don’t need to be a security expert to spot when something isn’t quite right. Here are a few warning signs:

  • You’ve received unexpected password reset emails or login alerts
  • You’ve noticed changes to your account (like services cancelled or added) you didn’t make
  • Your password no longer works, and you didn’t change it
  • There are support tickets or invoices you don’t recognise
  • You’ve clicked on a suspicious email or link recently

If any of the above applies, follow the steps below as soon as possible.

Step 1. Change Your Password Immediately #

If you can still access your account:

  1. Log in to your AeroWave dashboard.
  2. Click your name in the top-right corner and select Change Password
  3. Set a strong, unique new password.
    • Avoid using passwords you’ve used elsewhere.
    • Use a password manager if needed.

If you can’t log in, skip to Step 3.

Step 2. Remove Any Unauthorised Users #

If you’ve shared access to your account or notice users you don’t recognise:

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner and select User Management
  2. Review who has access and remove anyone unfamiliar or who no longer needs access

Step 3. Contact AeroWave Support (If You’ve Lost Access) #

If you’re unable to log in or suspect someone has changed your login credentials:

  1. Start a Live Chat or call us directly.
  2. Provide your support PIN if possible to help us verify you quickly.
  3. We’ll help you regain access and secure your account

If you no longer have your support PIN, we’ll verify you using alternative security checks.
