Switching Your WordPress Site From A Temporary URL To Your Domain

< 1 min read

If you’ve been building your WordPress site using a temporary URL and are ready to move it to your live domain, don’t worry. With AeroWave WordPress tools, the process is quick and easy.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Go to Manage Hosting, then select your hosting package, and click on Settings.
  2. You will see the Site URL and Home fields. Right now, they will show a temporary URL, such as http://example-co-uk.temp.aerowavehosting.io.
  3. Simply update both fields to your live domain, for example http://example.co.uk.
  4. Click Save Settings.

Helpful tip: Make sure to replace any hyphens (-) with periods (.) in the URL so your live domain works correctly.

Once you have done this, your WordPress site will be live on your domain and ready for visitors. If you run into any problems, our Support Team is always happy to guide you through the process.
