SSL certificates help keep your website secure and trusted by visitors. If one expires, your site may show security warnings or stop loading over HTTPS. Here’s how to make sure your SSL stays active and working as expected.
If You’re Using AeroWave’s Free SSL #
Good news – There’s nothing you need to do.
We automatically renew your SSL certificate before it expires. You’ll never need to worry about manual renewals, hidden fees, or downtime. If there’s ever an issue with the renewal process, we’ll alert you and help resolve it straight away.
If You’re Using a Paid or Third-Party SSL Certificate #
If you’ve purchased your SSL certificate separately (for example from DigiCert, Sectigo, or another provider), the renewal process is manual. Here’s what to do:
- Check when your certificate expires Log into your AeroWave Hosting control panel and go to the SSL/TLS section. You’ll be able to see your current certificate and its expiry date.
- Renew the certificate through your SSL provider Visit your certificate provider’s portal to purchase a renewal. You may need to provide a new CSR (Certificate Signing Request), which you can generate in your AeroWave control panel or ask our team to create for you.
- Upload the new certificate Once your renewal is complete, download the new certificate files from your provider. Then:
- Go to the SSL/TLS section in your AeroWave control panel
- Select “Install or Manage SSL”
- Upload your new .crt file, and if required, the CA Bundle or intermediate certificate
- Save the changes and test your site over HTTPS
